Thyroid hormones (TH) play an important role in brain development, central nervous system functions and energy metabolism. Loss of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) and cognitive deficits have recently been demonstrated by our group in conditions including Down syndrome and Alzhiemer’s disease.
